Olenex, a full-function joint venture between ADM & Wilmar, offers customers around the globe an extensive portfolio of edible oils and fats, from commodities to specialties, as well as superior technical support. Olenex owns and operates a specialty oils and fats facility and a palm refinery in Hamburg, Germany, as well as tropical oils processing plants in Brake, Germany and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It also manages raw materials sourcing, trading, sales and marketing operations. In addition, Olenex markets refined oils and fats from ADM’s plants in the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the U.K.

You will join a young and dynamic team with considerable opportunity for personal initiative. For this position, a good command of the English language is required (German is a plus). As an Account Manager, you are responsible for creating value by maintaining and growing customer accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
You are responsible for marketing the full Olenex vegetable oils & fats products portfolio for a speciﬁed region. You assist in ﬁnding the balance between both ﬁlling the capacity whilst creating value. Of course, you understand the market information and basic trading fundamentals.
As an Account Manager you manage your customer relationships on multiple levels. You coordinate tender/frame contract discussions for a designated customer portfolio and investigate customer needs to propose solutions, and hence create further demand. You liaise between diﬀerent departments for customers in your portfolio.
You follow up on open contract books, budgets and payments. You create, support and execute account plans. As an experienced Account Manager, you know how to conduct respective market studies to enhance opportunities for the organisation, identify new business, market portfolio within agreed-upon premiums and volume limits and propose improvements.
Who are you?
For this position we are looking for a colleague with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in a commercial study. You also have experience in a commercial position, ideally in the oils and fats industry or alternatively in the food industry.
You have broad commercial, selling and market skills and/or knowledge of vegetable oils. Technical and/or application knowledge is a pre, not a must. Besides this, you are fluently in English, and if you also speak German, then it is a big plus!
