Trade Support

 

Due to the expansion of our activities, we are currently looking for a self-starting and hands-on:

Trade Support  (Full-time / 32 hours is an option)

This position makes part of the Trade Support Team of Wilmar Europe Trading B.V. The purpose of this role is to ensure that contracts for the sale and purchase of products traded by the company are administrated and registered in line with internal controls and approvals (limits, trade rules etc.) and to support the management by tracking and reporting on the various trading positions. The Trade Support reports to the Trade Support Team Lead (reporting to Business Unit Manager). The position is based in our office in Rotterdam.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrate and register contracts for the sale and purchase of our products
  • Check receipt of internal sales & purchase confirmations from business/account manager
  • Check receipt of external confirmations from counter parties (suppliers and customers)
  • Enter pre-contracts into the ERP-system (SAP)
  • Communicate with Middle Office to convert the Trade slip (pre contract) into a contract
  • Check the unconverted contract list from Middle Office in Singapore daily
  • Keep track of positions per product on a daily basis and create the monthly opening position
  • Create daily position reports
  • Create the consolidated position on a daily basis
  • Initiate contract changes with approved change forms and follow up
  • Create or assist in setting up new customers (customer details, VAT, limits), products (trade rules)
  • Process received overdue files and investigate counter contracts
  • Take part in or manage projects when assigned to

 

Requirements:

  • MBO level 3 or 4 or bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a comparable position (customer service/inside sales) preferably in a trading/commercial company
  • Well versed in Dutch & English, other languages are a preference
  • Good skills in MS Office software
  • Good skills in ERP software (SAP)
  • Attention to detail
  • Commercial way of thinking
  • Analytical skills
